Lighting Roundtable

If you’re planning to be at Siggraph this afternoon, stop by the lighting roundtable from 1:45 to 3:30pm today in Room 411. I’ll be part of the panel discussing lighting techniques for computer animated films and I’ve gotten permission to show some early production images from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. See you there.

Could you post anything from the Lighting Roundtable – I could not make it but I would love to hear how it went ? :-)

    Thanks Mike

Thanks for writing. I’m checking to see if it was recorded–if so it might be included in the Siggraph DVDs. I’m not sure that it was, and in any case I keep meaning to try to write up my own little summary from memory as it was an interesting panel.

In case you need any encouragement, please do put together that personal write-up. I was quite disappointed to find it hadn’t been recorded for the SIGGRAPH Encore, as it was my favourite bit from SIGGRAPH this year. I found the “small studio” vs “big studio” theme quite interesting.

Thanks for the input. I’m working with Mike to see if we can put something together in the next few weeks. I’ll post here with updates.
